Don't just
read the
receipts.
Pass them on.
This site is a tool. It only matters if it gets in front of the people who can move the committee. Five things you can do right now. Each takes less time than the average TikTok scroll.
§ 01Email your member of Congress
Members of the House Education and Workforce Committee are listed at edworkforce.house.gov/about/members.htm. Find your representative at house.gov/representatives.
I am a parent in [city/state]. I am writing about the House Education and Workforce Committee.
The committee held nine hearings on campus antisemitism in this Congress and one hearing on K-12 reading and math. Meanwhile, 40% of American fourth graders can't read at NAEP Basic, the worst score in 30 years. The United States ranks 33rd of 35 OECD countries in math. The Office for Civil Rights reached just 112 resolution agreements out of 11,985 pending cases. The administration withheld $6.8 billion in K-12 funding that Congress had already appropriated.
The committee held no hearings on any of that. Instead it subpoenaed the new CEO of Chicago Public Schools in her first 100 days to talk about pronouns and bathrooms.
It is time to stop the clown show and get back to work for kids. The Right to Read Act of 2025 (H.R. 6440) and the Science of Reading Act of 2026 (H.R. 7890) are bipartisan and ready for markup. The committee should hold real oversight hearings on the withheld funds, the OCR collapse, the impact of ICE on school attendance, and the disarray at the Department of Education that has districts scrambling.
My family deserves a Congress that does the actual work.
Thank you,

§ 05If you're a Hill staffer
You know what to do. Mark up H.R. 6440. Mark up H.R. 7890. Move an AI-literacy bill for K-12 — four hearings is enough, now pass something. Hold a real hearing on the $2 billion in withheld funds. They are bipartisan. They are ready. They are waiting on you.
§ 06Found a mistake?
Tell us. This site is a living document. We update receipts as new committee activity is recorded. If something is wrong, write us at press [at] nationalparentsunion [dot] org and we will fix it and credit you.
Stop the clown show. Get to work for kids.
You have read the receipts. You have shared them. Now keep them close. The next time someone tells you the committee is fighting for parents, send the link. The show ends when we make it end.
